The visible effects of “inflammaging” on the skin can be seen as sensitivity and irritation, dehydration, acne and breakouts, uneven skin tone, loss of elasticity, wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. In a nutshell, inflammation can lead to a prematurely aged skin.
To combat the effects of pollutants on the skin, Dermalogica’s new Daily Superfoliant is a triple-action product that removes the harmful impurities from pollutants that build up on the skin throughout the day. It’s a powder formula that activates upon contact with water to release enzymes, skin resurfacing agents and anti-pollution ingredients which detoxify the skin and guard against the damaging effects of pollution.
This advanced formula contains active ingredients like Malic and Lactic Acid to resurface the skin and Activated Binchotan Charcoal to adsorb pollutants. Age protectant ingredients like Niacinamide, Red Algae and Tara Fruit Extract prevent adherence of pollutants to the skin and provide antioxidant protection.

Shephard recommended a few different ways to incorporate Daily Superfoliant in a skin care regime. You can use it daily, a few times a week or incorporate it into your existing routine. She explained that for consumers who love the best seller Daily Microfoliant, that it’s possible to continue it using every day and then incorporate the new Daily Superfoliant a few times a week. “Daily Superfoliant is like Daily Microfoliant’s big sister”. They both have different actions on the skin. While Daily Microfoliant smooths and brightens, Daily Superfoliant resurfaces, detoxifies and adsorbs surface pollutants. The only similarity between the two is that they are powder based said Shephard.
The choice is yours…use daily, a few times a week or as prescribed by your Prodermal Skin Therapist. We recommend using after your double cleanse. Apply Daily Superfoliant by using a small amount – about a ½ teaspoon into very wet hands. Rub your hands together to create a creamy mousse like paste and apply to your face in circular motions (avoid eye area). Massage for about one minute and then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Follow with your selected Dermalogica toner or moisturiser.
